Sometimes our phones do not work properly and work slowly. So we need to factory reset our phone. Resetting your phone can fix many problems. So we should reset our phone after a certain time. If you factory data reset your android, it can fix most issues that occur in your device. This process cleans all the data of your phone. I am going to tell you how to take a backup of your phone. Every type of data such as music, videos, text massages, pictures etc. will be lost after reset. If you take a backup of your data you won’t lose anything after reset of your phone.

 So this article is all about how to take a backup of your data. So follow these steps to take your backup: -

1. Saving all data in your SD Card: - if you have a SD Card you can transfer all data in your SD Card. You can copy all data such as photos, videos, songs etc. so all your data will be secure in your SD Card. You can copy them back after resetting your phone. So you must have a SD Card for your data. If you have large amount of data you must get a large storage SD Card (8GB, 16GB, 32GB etc.) as you need.

2. Saving your data in your PC: - If you don’t have a SD Card you can use your PC (Personal Computer) for backup of your data. Connect your phone to the computer and enable mass storage. Select all your files which you want to keep a backup and copy them in your computer. You should always try to keep a backup your data in your computer because if you lost your phone somewhere your data will be saved in your computer.


3. Saving data in Google Drive: - Now if you don’t have a computer or SD Card, you still have a backup plan. But in this method you will need data connection or wi fi. You can download and install Google Drive from Play Store. This app allows you up to 5GB free storage. You just select all data and share them with Google Drive. All files will be uploaded to Google Drive. You should not worry about your data because your all data is save and one one can see your data. But you must use a high speed connection or wi fi to upload your data. It may take much time so you must wait for a while.

4. Saving data in your email: - Some type of data like text massages or pictures can be saved in your email. Just open a new massage, attach file and send them in any person’s email where you can get back your data.

5. Saving your contacts: - You can save your contacts on your SD Card. Just open your contacts and export them in your SD Card. This option is available in many phones. Then you can get your contacts after resetting your phone. After resetting insert your SD Card and open your contacts app and select import from SD Card. This process will import all contacts from your SD Card. You can also save your contacts in Google Drive.
6. Backup of your all apps: - You can specific app for taking backup of your installed apps. I recommend an app “App Backup & Restore” which you can download from Google Play Store. This app can backup your all apps which you have installed in your phone. Just open the app and select those apps which you want to take a backup and tap backup option. This app saves all apps in your SD Card so that you can install them back after resetting your phone. (Read more)

7. Take screenshots: - You can take a screenshot for your homescreen and settings pages so that you won’t have to spend too much time in customizing your phone after resetting.
